Calling all boys and girls ages 9 to 12.  Come enjoy each other’s company in a dancing way this summer at the Academy.  The second week of June (8th to the 12th) we are offering our first ballroom dancing camp for youth each morning from 9:30–11:00 a.m. The kids will learn instruction from the fun-loving, Berkeley Ward.  We are limiting enrollment to 10 girls and 10 boys, so contact us soon to sign up!  Contact us.  Price is $30/child.

Why learn ballroom dance?  To quote the great Arthur Murray, “Children who learn ballroom dancing with a partner are taught normal social human-relations at the time when they are the most impressionable pupils.  The contacts and courtesies of the dance floor are all to the good, and I have noted that people who learned to dance when they were children have ingrained good manners when they grow up.  When people’s manners are worn so easily that they seem second nature to them, more likely than not they date from dancing-class days.”
